Oak frames are a timeless and beautiful addition to any room. Their natural beauty and durability make them a popular choice.
Oak's natural properties, including its structure and natural oil content, make it a truly beautiful frame.
The oak is a very living material, which is softer and does not have the same consistent structure in the wood as the other wooden frames. If you want the same continuous structure in the wood, you should therefore look at our walnut or light wood frames, which are made with oak veneer.
The distinctive grain patterns and varied color tones add warmth and character to any room with a timeless elegance that only gets more beautiful with time.
Oak frames are also a sustainable solution, as the oak we use is grown and harvested responsibly. This makes oak frames an eco-friendly option for those looking to incorporate sustainable materials into their interior design projects.
When it comes to our oak frames, there are three different profiles to consider.
The narrowest oak frame we offer is just 12mm wide and 18mm deep. It gives a slim aesthetic.
Our 20mm wide oak frames can be purchased with either 20mm or 30mm depth. 20x20mm is our most popular profile with oak, but all our other wide wooden frames are 30mm deep, so the 20x30mm profile is best if your oak frame is to hang next to one of our other wide frames.
Regardless of the type of oak frame you choose, it's important to consider how they will fit in with the overall style and aesthetic of your space.

The white passepartout is most popular, but it can also be bought with a black core, instead of white, which can be super nice for the right motif.

To preserve the natural beauty and durability of oak, it is important to clean it regularly to remove dust, dirt and other contaminants. This can be done with a soft brush or a lint-free cloth to avoid damaging the wood.
Occasional treatment with a clear varnish or oil can also help extend the life of oak frames and protect them from damage.
