Glass
When you buy a picture frame at PlakatKunst, choose glass. You can choose normal glass, acrylic glass (also called plexiglass, the most durable), non-reflective glass or museum glass. If you need to frame a poster that you want to preserve as best as possible, we recommend exclusive museum glass that optimally protects against UV rays. However, all types of glass have at least 40% UV protection.
Mount
Mount is a cardboard frame inside the picture frame itself. This is also called a Mat or Passepartout, although the exact meaning is not the same in all countries. It puts focus on the poster, and makes sure that the frame does not cast a shadow on the poster. Especially square frames are really nice with a mount. You can only buy mount here in the webshop, which fit posters in the sizes 40x40 cm, 30x30 cm and 20x20 cm. But white frames are usually nicer with a mount in a different color, and we can handle that too. We have many colors in stock. If you buy a white mount for this white 60x60 frame, just contact us after you have made your purchase. Then we send the mount in exactly the color you want. The range of shades within each color is naturally limited.
