Glass
When you buy a wooden frame at PlakatKunst, you must choose glass. Normal glass or acrylic glass (plexiglass) is most popular as it is the cheapest, but there are other advantages to non-reflective glass and the exclusive museum glass. The museum glass protects optimally against UV rays, and thus preserves the colors of the poster much better than the other types of glass, which, however, also have approximately 40% UV protection.

Passepartout / Mat / Mount
Passepartout is a frame made of 1.5 mm acid-free cardboard, which brings the poster into focus without casting a shadow on the poster from the frame or passepartout. You can buy passepartout for this purple 30x30 wooden frame, which with a 5 mm overlap fits perfectly for 15x15 or 20x20 cm pictures.
If you want a different cut or color, we also offer made-to-measure passepartout.
If you would like to frame a 30x30 cm poster with passepartout, you must buy one of our 70x70 cm frames, 60x60 cm frames, 50x50 cm frames or 40x40 cm frames. All of these square frames can be purchased with a passepartout that fits 30x30 posters. The most obvious choice will be the glossy purple 40x40 frame.
