Original Dutch travel poster from 1914 with strong colors. Three women are seen on the beach dressed in traditional local costumes, while small boats sail on the surf in the background. One magazine described them as 'Zandvoort girls'.

The poster was also published in Dutch, but this poster was aimed at German tourists, who were a very important target group for the Dutch seaside resorts. The German-language version of the poster had a different text: To Holland and the Dutch seashores via Salzbergen and Kleve.

A very old, rare and not least well-kept lithographic masterpiece by Willy Sluiter.

Condition

8/10 - Patina, edge cracks and very small folds in the poster.
