Glass
When you buy a frame at PlakatKunst, you must choose glass. Normal glass or acrylic glass (plexiglass) is most popular as it is the cheapest, but there are other advantages to non-reflective glass and the exclusive museum glass. The museum glass protects optimally against UV rays, and thus preserves the colors of the poster much better than the other types of glass, which, however, also have approximately 40% UV protection.

Passepartout / Mat / Mount
Passepartout is a frame made of 1.5 mm acid-free cardboard, which is placed inside the picture frame itself between the glass and the picture. This brings the poster into focus without casting a shadow on the image from the frame or mount. You can purchase passepartout for this red 30x30 wooden frame, which fits 20x20 or 15x15 cm pictures.
If you want a different color or hole size, you must buy a passepartout made-to-measure.
If you would like to frame a 30x30 cm poster with passepartout, you must buy a frame that has the format 70x70 cm, 60x60 cm, 50x50 cm or 40x40 cm. All of these square frames can be purchased with a passepartout that fits 30x30 posters. The obvious choice would be a matte red 40x40 frame.
