Box frames - Custom size

Danish-produced box frames, handmade to order with exactly the measurements you want. Our box frames can be made with exactly the dimensions you need, from 20x20 cm up to 120x160 cm.

When you specify the dimensions that your frame must have, it is the dimensions of the glass that you must specify. The glass goes 5 mm under the frame, so a 50x50 cm box frame will therefore only have 49x49 cm of visible glass, and the entire box frame incl. wooden frame will be 51x51 cm, as the wooden frames we use for box frames are 2 cm wide.

Please note that our box frames are delivered with white, acid-free insert paper as standard. If you want an even firmer and finer background - possibly in one color - you can also purchase a passepartout without a hole (write 0x0 cm for "the dimensions of the poster".

Profile

You can choose from seven different types of wood for your box frame: Light wood, solid oak, walnut-colored wood, black wood, white wood, silver-colored wood and gold-colored wood. All the profiles are 20 mm wide and 30 mm deep, with a 20 mm distance strip from the back to the glass.

Glass

We offer three types of high-quality glass for our box frames. We have chosen not to use acrylic glass in our box frames, as it is too flexible to give the optimal result.

We offer three types of real glass for the box frames: ordinary glass, non-reflective glass or museum glass. The latter two have virtually no reflections in the glass. The non-reflective glass is slightly matte, whereas the museum glass is completely clear and also protects with more than 70% against UV rays - approx. twice as much as the other types of glass.

Passepartout

Passepartout can be purchased in many beautiful colours. You define the exact internal measurements yourself, so remember to subtract 1 cm from the width and height of your poster if you want to make room for the poster to be mounted on the back of the mount. It can also be a good idea to order a passepartout without cut-out (write 0x0 cm) for the box frame, which will give you, for example, a completely white back plate to mount your artwork on. However, the frame is supplied with thick, white and acid-free paper.
