70x70 frames included
Passepartout
Passepartout in a 70x70 frame is suitable for e.g. a 60x60 or 50x50 cm poster. Passepartout gives an exclusive lift to the frame, and creates an artistic depth with 1.5 mm distance between image and glass.
If you want to frame a 70x70 cm poster with passepartout, you need a larger frame. It can be an A0 frame or a frame with special dimensions, e.g. an 80x80 frame.
70x70 frames with passepartout can be used to frame all pictures over 70x70 cm. When you choose passepartout, you just have to specify the dimensions of the picture you want to frame, and we will automatically make the cutout 10 mm smaller. This gives you a passepartout which extends 5 mm above the image. This way you can easily tape the poster to the back of your passepartout.

Should your 70x70 frame have
Real glass?
All 70x70 frames can be purchased with light and shatter-free acrylic glass, clear with reflections just like normal glass.
If you want real glass, you must choose a wooden frame, as glass and metal is a challenging combination for 70x70 cm frames and larger formats in particular.
The obvious choice for most people is the regular 2 mm glass, which is very clear with reflections.
If you want to avoid the reflections as much as possible, you should choose our non-reflective glass or the UV-protective museum glass. The non-reflective glass is a little more anti-reflective, but also slightly matte in surface, in contrast to the completely clear museum glass.
What are the
Shipping costs?
The price of shipping 70x70 cm frames depends very much on your location. We make all our frames in Denmark, so the closer you are to Denmark, the cheaper the price is. If the package must go by air, such as UK (£69) or USA ($149) the shipping price becomes very high.
70x70 frames with
backing paper
All our frames are delivered with premium white acid-free backing paper. Place this between your poster and the backboard to protect and optimize the colors of your artwork.
Framing and hanging of
70x70 frames
Remove the foil and tilt back the black pins on the back, so you can remove the back plate.
You should gently dust the back of the glass with a dry cloth. If you have chosen acrylic glass, then you just need to remove the protective film from both sides.
The masonite back plate has a suspension bracket, which must be tilted out slightly, so that it can be hung on a screw or iron nail. Adhesive nails cannot handle the weight of a 70x70 frame.
