Oak picture frames

The oak frames are our most popular poster frames. This beautiful frame comes in three different formats, but in the same high quality. 12x18 mm, 20x20 mm and 20x30 mm. All our oak comes from sustainable forests in Canada, and all the picture frames are Danish-made. The wood is carefully selected and meets our high standards for quality and sustainability.

Note that solid oak frames are 100% oak. A natural and organic material which does not have the same consistent structure in the wood as the more "artificial" wooden frames. No two wooden slats are the same, and a frame has four slats, which will therefore not look alike. If you want the same continuous structure in the wood, you should therefore look at our light wooden frames, which are made with oak veneer.

When you buy an oak frame at PlakatKunst, you have the choice between four types of glass. Normal glass is the clearest, together with the exclusive museum glass, which also optimally preserves the poster's colors as it protects against UV rays. Acrylic glass (plexiglas) cannot break, while non-reflective glass has the great advantage that you do not see reflections in the glass. Passepartout is available as an additional purchase in several sizes for all our oak frames.
