How to choose

the perfect picture frames

You finally have your favorite photos printed and are ready to adorn your walls with them. But before you can hang them up, you need to find the right picture frame. Choosing the perfect picture frame is all about finding the one that highlights and complements your pictures and your home in the best possible way.

The first step is to consider your own personal style and interior design aesthetic. Do you want a modern and minimalist frame, or do you prefer a more classic and decorative style

The next step is to consider colors and materials. Should the frame match the wall to create a subtle effect, or do you want it to stand out and add contrast?

In addition, it is important to take into account the size and proportions of both the picture and the room where it will be hung. A frame that is too large or too small can spoil the overall impression. Remember to also think about the practical side of things, such as suspension mechanisms and durability.

The significance of

The right choice of picture frames

Picture frames can have a big impact on your interior design. They can help tie the wall art together with the rest of the room and create a harmonious whole. When choosing a picture frame, think about how it fits into the overall aesthetic and style of the room.

If you have a modern and minimalist home with clean lines and a neutral color palette, consider a simple and streamlined frame that doesn't steal the focus from the picture. A black or white frame can be a good choice in this case. If, on the other hand, you have a more decorative home, you can experiment with the more colorful wooden frames.

If you want a tone-on-tone effect where the frame blends with the wall, you can choose a frame in the same color as the wall. This can create a subtle and elegant effect.

If, on the other hand, you want the frame to stand out, you can choose a color that contrasts with the wall and adds a pop of color to the room.

It can also be interesting to choose a frame in a color that is also found in the image. It does not have to be the most dominant color in the motif. Often it is better to use one of the more secondary colors.

Selection of the picture frame

Size and shape

When choosing a picture frame for your home, it is important to consider the size and proportions of the room. A large frame can work well as a focal point in a room, while a smaller frame can be more discreet and fit well into a smaller room.

You can easily choose to frame your poster with a larger frame than the poster if you buy a passepartout for the frame. You can also easily frame a square poster in a non-square frame or vice versa. The possibilities are endless, and we are happy to help you talk about the possibilities and give our opinion on how best to frame your poster in a picture frame. However, there is no definitive answer, and it is your own home and personal style that must be decisive for your choice of picture frame.

The important choice of

Glass for picture frames

Once you have made the choice about which color and shape your picture frame should have, you only need to decide on the glass.

We offer three types of real glass, as well as a light, clear and, not least, shatter-free acrylic glass, which is confusingly similar to ordinary glass.

The three types of real glass are ordinary glass, non-reflective glass or museum glass, which, like non-reflective, also limits reflections, but without being the least bit matte. It also optimally protects against UV rays. It is also called invisibility glass for good reason, and is undoubtedly the unsurpassed glass.
