About the frame
Golden premium aluminum frame for posters and pictures in 40 x 50 cm. The elegant front is slightly curved and only 6 mm wide, so the golden profile forms a fine and discreet edge around your artwork. The sides measure 20 mm in depth and have a beautiful grooved structure that gives the frame a more detailed and exclusive look from the side.
The frame is made for artwork in 40 x 50 cm, but can also be used for smaller formats with a passepartout. You can specify the desired cutout size yourself or choose a passepartout without a cutout.
Framing and hanging
The premium frame has two movable brackets on the back and comes with a cord for hanging. The brackets can be positioned as needed, so the frame can be hung both vertically and horizontally.
How to mount your artwork:
- Loosen the screws in all four corners of the frame.
- Remove the two hanging brackets from one of the short frame bars, as well as the clamps that hold the backing board in place.
- Take the short frame bar off completely.
- Slide the glass and backing board out together through the open side.
- Place your artwork between the glass and the backing board.
- Guide the glass, artwork and backing board back into the aluminum frame.
- Refit the short frame bar and tighten the corner screws almost all the way.
- Put the clamps back so that the backing board is held tightly against the glass.
- Finally, tighten the corner screws completely.
Glass
For this golden aluminum frame, you can choose between acrylic glass (plexiglass) and three types of real glass. Acrylic glass is lightweight, shatterproof and particularly robust. It comes with protective film on both sides, which must be removed before use, after which the glass appears clear and gives a beautiful rendering of your artwork.
If you prefer real glass, you can choose standard glass, non-reflective glass or museum glass. Standard glass is completely clear but gives the most glare. Non-reflective glass reduces most of the bothersome reflections, while museum glass combines high clarity and low reflection with at least 70 % UV protection.
