About the frame

This golden premium aluminum frame gives a warm and elegant contrast to light, dark and colorful artwork alike. The slightly curved front measures only 6 mm in width and therefore lets the picture dominate the framing. The 20 mm deep sides have a beautiful grooved structure that gives the aluminum profile more character and underlines the exclusive quality of the frame.

The frame is made for posters and pictures in 70 x 70 cm. If you want to frame smaller artwork, you can add a passepartout and specify the cutout size yourself. You can also choose a passepartout without a cutout and place your artwork on top.

Framing and hanging

The premium frame has two movable brackets on the back and comes with a cord for hanging. The brackets can be positioned as needed.

How to put your artwork in the frame:

1. Loosen the screws in all four corners of the frame.
2. Remove the two hanging brackets from one of the frame bars, as well as the clamps that hold the backing board.
3. Take that frame bar off completely.
4. Slide the acrylic glass and backing board out together through the open side.
5. Place your artwork between the acrylic glass and the backing board.
6. Guide the acrylic glass, artwork and backing board back into the frame together.
7. Refit the frame bar and tighten the corner screws almost all the way.
8. Put the clamps back so that the backing board is held tightly against the acrylic glass.
9. Finally, tighten the corner screws completely.

Glass

For most of our picture frames, you can choose between acrylic glass and three types of real glass: standard glass, non-reflective glass and museum glass. For large aluminum frames from 70 x 70 cm and up, however, we only offer acrylic glass, as the risk of damage during transport becomes too great with real glass in an aluminum profile.

Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is also a really good solution for large frames. It weighs considerably less than real glass and is shatterproof. The glass comes with protective film on both sides, and once the film has been removed, it appears clear and gives a beautiful rendering of your artwork.
