White 50x50 picture frame with a smooth surface. The frame is 20 mm wide and 30 cm deep. You can also buy white 50x50 frames with a narrow 15x15 mm frame here . 50x50 is the only square frame that we sell as both narrow and wide online, as there can be good arguments for both. We only sell larger square frames in the wide version online, while we use narrower frames for smaller square frames .
Glass
When you buy a picture frame at PlakatKunst, you must choose glass. You can choose normal glass, acrylic glass (light, shatter-free and supplied with foil), non-reflective glass or museum glass. If you want to frame a poster that you want to preserve as best as possible, we recommend the exclusive museum glass, which protects optimally against UV rays. However, the other three types of glass have at least 40% UV protection.

Passepartout / Mat / Mount
Passepartout is a frame of 1.5 mm acid-free cardboard that creates depth between glass and poster, without casting a shadow on the poster. Square frames look really nice with a passepartout. You can only buy white passepartout for all 50x50 frames, which are suitable for posters in the sizes 40x40, 30x30 and 20x20. A 20x20 passepartout will only be 19x19 cm, as the passepartout should overlap the poster by 5 mm, so you can mount the poster on the back with, for example, tape.
