About the frame
Exclusive premium aluminum frame in matte silver for pictures and posters in 70 x 100 cm. Despite the large format, the front is just 6 mm wide and slightly curved, so the frame appears elegant and discreet around the artwork. The 20 mm deep sides have a beautiful grooved texture that gives the aluminum profile a refined and distinctive look.
Aluminum is particularly well suited when you want a very slim frame around a large artwork. The strength of the material makes it possible to keep the slender profile in 70 x 100 cm, where similarly slim wooden profiles would not be sufficiently stable.
Framing and hanging
The premium frame has two movable fittings on the back and comes with a cord for hanging. The fittings can be moved as needed, so the frame can be hung both vertically and horizontally.
How to place the poster in the frame:
- Loosen the screws in all four corners of the aluminum frame.
- Remove the two hanging fittings from one of the short frame rails as well as the tension clips that hold the backing board in place.
- Remove the short frame rail completely.
- Slide the acrylic glass and backing board out together through the open side.
- Lay the poster between the acrylic glass and the backing board.
- Slide the acrylic glass, poster and backing board back into the frame.
- Refit the short frame rail and tighten the corner screws almost all the way.
- Put the tension clips back in place so the backing board is held tightly against the acrylic glass.
- Finally, tighten the corner screws fully.
Glass
For our largest aluminum frames, we offer acrylic glass (plexiglass) exclusively. It weighs considerably less than real glass and is also shatterproof, which makes it far better suited to large formats and shipping. Once the protective film has been removed from both sides, the acrylic glass looks clear and gives a beautiful rendering of the artwork.
If you want standard glass, non-reflective glass or museum glass for an artwork in 70 x 100 cm, you can instead choose one of our 70 x 100 cm wooden frames.

Ordered a frame and it was shipped the next business day and I received it the day after. The frame is beautiful and was well packaged.
I love our beautiful frames from poster art and I had a fantastic experience with customer service. You can blindly trust them to deliver quality both aesthetically and ethically. Thank you very much ❤️ I will be buying all my frames from here.
Extremely good and proactive service, even though the error started with me, it was fixed quickly! And the frame is also super nice.
Bought 2 pieces of 100x140 frames and received very quick and knowledgeable guidance in choosing the type of wood based on pictures sent of where they should hang. They were delivered just a few days later and were very securely packaged. We are SO satisfied and this is not the last time we order from here 😄
Great service. Nice wooden frame with passepartout. Had also ordered a passepartout for another frame. However, I had misunderstood the instructions for measuring so it didn't fit. Posterkunst immediately offered to send a new one with the correct measurements. Very nice customer service.
