About the frame
A premium aluminum frame in matte black is a timeless choice that lets the artwork stand sharp and clear. The dark, subdued finish works both as a contrast to colorful posters and as an elegant extension of black-and-white photographs, graphic prints and more minimalist artworks.
The frame is made for posters and pictures in 60 x 80 cm, but can also be used for smaller artworks with a passepartout. The front is slightly curved and only 6 mm wide, while the 20 mm deep sides have a beautiful grooved structure. The ultra-slim front gives a minimalist look, while the deeper, textured sides add character to the frame and underline the premium quality.
Framing and hanging
On the back there are two movable hangers, which are used together with the included cord for hanging. The hangers can be positioned as needed, so the frame can be hung both vertically and horizontally.
How to put the poster in the frame:
- Loosen the screws in all four corners of the frame.
- Remove the two hangers from one of the short frame rails as well as the spring clips that hold the backing board in place.
- Take the short frame rail completely off.
- Slide the acrylic glass and backing board out together through the open side.
- Position the poster between the acrylic glass and the backing board.
- Guide the acrylic glass, poster and backing board back into the frame together.
- Fit the short frame rail again, and tighten the corner screws almost all the way.
- Put the spring clips back, so the backing board is held tightly against the acrylic glass.
- Finally, tighten the corner screws completely.
Glass
For this large aluminum frame we only offer acrylic glass (plexiglass). It is both light and shatterproof and therefore far better suited than real glass to the combination of a large format and an aluminum profile. The acrylic glass comes with protective film on both sides, which must be removed before framing. After that, it appears clear and gives a beautiful reproduction of the artwork.
