Upgrade your framing with a luxurious cream passepartout with a white core, which gives a warm and sophisticated look as a tasteful alternative to classic white.

Each mount is custom-made to your order and cut precisely at a 45° angle, creating the perfect distance between the glass and the picture. This detail is especially important when framing art, as it adds depth to the work without creating shadows.

Our passepartouts are made of the highest quality 1.5 mm acid-free cardboard, ensuring long-term durability and better preserving your artwork.

How to choose the right dimensions

Outer dimensions
The measurements you enter must be the outside dimensions of the frame – and they will always correspond to the size of the glass in the frame.

Cutout size
To get the optimal overlap, the hole size should be 1 cm smaller than the actual dimensions of the poster in both directions. This gives approx. 0.5 cm of coverage all the way around. Example: 53×67 cm poster → hole size 52×66 cm.

Cutout position

A central hole is standard, as it gives a harmonious look. If you want a larger bottom edge, you can choose a top-aligned location with the same distance to the top and sides. You can also choose without a hole at all if you only need to use the cardboard as a background.

Payment & invoice

You can pay with VISA, Mastercard, MobilePay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, American Express, iDeal and PayPal.
For invoices or EANs, companies and institutions can contact us via chat, email or telephone.

Shopify Payments ensures secure payment, and the amount is only deducted when your order leaves our warehouse. The invoice is ready in your PlakatKunst account, and the order confirmation is sent by email.

Shipping & returns

All mats are cut to order at our Danish workshop. Most orders are shipped within a few business days – often the next day. Expect a little extra processing time during peak seasons.

Return
The 100-day return policy applies to regular items, but not to special items such as passepartouts.

If your passepartout is damaged, simply send pictures to info@plakatkunst.dk. We will send a new one immediately.
