About the frame
Golden premium aluminum frame for posters and pictures in 50 x 50 cm. The slightly curved front is just 6 mm wide and gives the square frame an elegant and minimalist look. The 20 mm deep sides have fine grooves that add structure to the profile and create an exclusive contrast to the very slender front. At the same time, the golden surface gives the framing a warm and refined touch.
The frame is made for artwork in 50 x 50 cm, but can also be combined with a passepartout for smaller pictures. You decide the cutout size of the passepartout yourself, or you can choose it without a cutout and place your artwork on top.
Framing and hanging
On the back there are two movable brackets, which are used together with the included cord for hanging. The brackets can be positioned as needed, so the premium frame can be hung in the desired orientation.
How to put your artwork in the frame:
- Loosen the screws in the four corners of the frame.
- Remove the two hanging brackets from one of the frame bars, and take out the clamps that hold the backing board.
- Detach that frame bar completely.
- Pull the glass and backing board out of the aluminum profile together.
- Place your artwork between the glass and the backing board.
- Slide the glass, artwork and backing board back into the frame together.
- Refit the frame bar and tighten the corner screws almost all the way.
- Put the clamps back so that the backing board is held tightly against the glass.
- Finally, tighten the corner screws completely.
Glass
Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is the lightest and most robust solution for the frame. It is shatterproof and comes with protective film on both sides, which must be removed before framing. Once the film has been removed, the acrylic glass appears clear and gives a beautiful rendering of your artwork.
You can also choose between three types of real glass. Standard glass is completely clear but gives the most glare. Non-reflective glass has a matte surface that reduces reflections but also makes the rendering slightly less sharp. Museum glass, on the other hand, combines very high clarity with low reflection and UV protection and is therefore our most exclusive type of glass.
