If you want to frame your 40x50 poster with a dark wooden frame, this picture frame is a good choice. Not as dark and colorless as other dark wooden frames, but a 12mm narrow and 18mm deep wooden frame with a lovely warm shade that goes beautifully with most colours. The two brackets on the masonite back plate make it possible to hang the frame very close to the wall - vertically or horizontally.
Glass
The acrylic glass (also called plexiglass) comes with a protective film on both sides, which you must remove to get the same clarity as ordinary glass. Both have some reflections, which you largely avoid with non-reflective glass (slightly matte) or the museum glass, which also gives you the best UV protection - approximately twice as much as the other three types of glass.
