Modern red picture frame with a matte varnish that completely covers the wood structure. The frame is 15 mm wide and 13 mm deep, which means that we do not sell it online larger than 55x75 cm.

Glass

Glass is a crucial part of your framing – both aesthetically and practically. At PlakatKunst you can choose between four different types of glass: lightweight and shatterproof acrylic glass, classic regular glass, non-reflective glass with a discreet matte surface and exclusive museum glass. Museum glass combines maximum clarity with minimal glare and provides at least 70% protection against UV rays, so your motif retains its colors and details for as long as possible.

Passepartout

Do you want to elevate your framing from beautiful to truly complete? A passepartout creates an elegant gap between the motif and the glass, giving depth and calm to the whole and at the same time protecting the image from direct contact with the glass. All our passepartouts are made of 1.5 mm acid-free quality cardboard in several colors, where each shade has its own fine structure, so you can match both motif and frame in a refined way.

For the mount to work properly, the frame itself must always be larger than the poster. A 34×34 cm poster is therefore perfectly suited to a 40×40 frame – or a 44×44 frame if you want a more generous, modern border around the motif.

When ordering a passepartout for special measurements, you must specify the following:

Internal dimension

Measure your poster carefully in both height and width. To get a beautiful and stable result, the hole size should be 1 cm smaller than the poster size in both directions. A 34×34 cm poster should therefore have a hole size of 33×33 cm, which gives an even overlap of approx. 5 mm all the way around.

The external dimensions are automatically adjusted to the size of the glass in the frame and therefore do not need to be specified.

Cutout position

The cut can be customized to the look you want:

• Centered cutout: Equal distance to top and bottom creates a calm, classic and harmonious expression.
• Top-positioned cutout: The cutout starts from the top and sides, giving you a clear, elegant bottom edge.
• No cutout: The cardboard is delivered without a cutout, and the motif is placed on top – ideal for art prints, signatures or motifs where the entire image surface must be visible.

Payment & invoice

Companies and public institutions can obtain an invoice or EAN invoicing by contacting us via email, chat or telephone.

All payments are processed by Shopify Payments and the amount is only deducted when your order ships. You will receive an order confirmation by email and the invoice will be automatically saved in your PlakatKunst account under the relevant order.

Delivery & returns

Delivery
All custom frames are produced to order at our workshop in Denmark. Typical delivery time is 3–7 business days, depending on busyness and format.

Frames larger than 70×100 cm will be sent directly to your address with DSV. If the carrier determines that the package can be placed safely, it will be placed there – otherwise a new delivery time will be agreed upon.

Frames up to 70×100 cm can be sent to GLS parcel shop for 29 DKK. Delivery to a private or business address costs 79 DKK. We offer free shipping on all orders over 899 DKK.

Returns
You have a 100-day right of return on all standard products. Items made to measure – including mounts and custom frames – cannot be returned as they are produced specifically to your measurements. If you are in doubt about anything, we are happy to help before you order.

Complaints
Should your order be unexpectedly damaged upon receipt, please send pictures of both the packaging and the damage to info@plakatkunst.dk. We will provide a quick and smooth solution, so that you are left with a frame that you are completely satisfied with.
