About the frame

This beautiful black wooden frame has an elegant and smooth finish and is available in the exact dimensions you want. The frame has a narrow profile with a width and depth of only 13 cm, giving a stylish look. However, the narrow frame means that the maximum size for framing is 55x75 cm.

Glass

We offer four different glass options for our poster frames. You can choose between acrylic glass (plexiglass, which is lightweight and shatterproof) or one of three varieties of real glass: regular glass, non-reflective glass (slightly matte) or the luxurious museum glass, which is both clear, non-reflective and provides at least 70% protection against UV rays.

Passepartout / Mat / Mount

If you use a passepartout, the frame should always be chosen in a larger format than the image itself. A poster of 34×34 cm therefore fits nicely in a 40×40 frame – or in a 44×44 frame if you want a wider border.

If you order a passepartout for a custom-sized frame, you must provide the following:

Cutout

Measure the poster carefully. The cutout should be 1 cm less than the height and width of the poster, so that the passepartout overlaps approx. 5 mm all the way around. If the poster format is 34×34 cm, the cutout should therefore be 33×33 cm.

The outer dimensions of the passepartout always follow the size of the glass in the frame, so you do not need to specify this.

Cutout position

You choose how the hole should be placed:

• Centered cutout: Equal distance to top and bottom – the most harmonious and most chosen solution.
• Top-positioned cutout: Same distance to top and sides, so the bottom gets a wider edge.
• No cutout: A single cardboard sheet where the image is mounted on top – perfect when the full format of the motif needs to be preserved.

Our passepartouts are made of 1.5 mm acid-free quality cardboard.

Payment & invoice

You can pay with VISA, Mastercard, MobilePay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, American Express, iDeal and PayPal.

Companies and public institutions can receive invoices by contacting us via email, chat or telephone.

Payment is securely handled by Shopify Payments, and the amount is only deducted upon shipment. You will receive an order confirmation by email, and the invoice is in your PlakatKunst account under the order.

Delivery & returns

Delivery
We make sure your custom frame arrives quickly – typically within 3-7 business days. Although all picture frames are made after you place your order, custom frames just take a little extra time.

Returns
You have a 100-day return policy, with the exception of frames and passepartouts that are made to special measurements. As these cannot be reused, we do not accept returns. Please check your measurements carefully and contact us if you are in any doubt.

Complaint
If you receive a defect product, send an email to info@plakatkunst.dk with a picture of the box and the damage. We will arrange the rest, depending on your preference and shipping method.
