Under the horse chestnut tree

Between 1896-1897, Mary Stevenson Cassatt created this work entitled Under the Horse Chestnut Tree. She was an accomplished American painter who lived a large part of her life in France. She was friends with Edgar Degas and she exhibited with the French Impressionists.
