Light blue passepartout

Product information

We offer two light blue passepartouts, and this baby blue variant is the lighter of the two. While the other shade has a slight turquoise tone, this one appears as a more classic light blue. The surface has a fine, discreet structure – slightly more pronounced than the other variant, yet still very elegant.

All our passepartouts are made from 1.5 mm acid-free quality cardboard and are precisely cut to order to fit your motif perfectly. The acid-free material makes them suitable for posters, photographs and more valuable artworks, as it protects against discoloration over time.

The cutout is made with a precise 45° bevel. The beveled edge reveals the white core of the board and creates a clean, thin white line between the motif and the passepartout. At the same time, the angle provides a natural distance from the glass, ensuring that the motif does not lie directly against it.

How to choose the right dimensions

Exterior dimensions

The exterior dimensions must correspond to the size of the glass in your frame.

Cutout

To achieve a clean overlap, we recommend choosing a cutout that is approximately 1 cm smaller than the actual width and height of the motif. This provides an overlap of about 5 mm all the way around, ensuring that the motif is held securely in place.

Example: If your image measures 22 × 25 cm, the recommended cutout is 21 × 24 cm.

Cutout position

A centered cutout creates a classic and balanced look. You can also choose a top-positioned cutout, where the distance to the top and sides remains the same, resulting in a slightly wider bottom margin.

It is also possible to order the passepartout without a cutout if the board is intended to function as a background behind the motif.

Companies and public institutions can, by agreement, pay via EAN or regular invoice.

Payment is handled securely via Shopify Payments and is only charged once the order has been shipped. Your invoice will be available in your PlakatKunst account.

Return
There is a 100-day right of return on standard products. Custom-made items – including passepartouts produced to specific measurements – cannot be returned.

If an error or transport damage occurs, simply send photos to info@plakatkunst.dk and we will send a replacement.
