Old rosa passepartout

Product information

This passepartout in an elegant old rosa shade is made from 1.5 mm acid-free quality cardboard with a fine, discreet surface texture. The soft color tone adds warmth and character to the frame while highlighting the motif in a calm and balanced way.

All passepartouts are cut individually to order. The cutout is made with a precise 45° bevel that reveals the white core of the board. The beveled edge creates a natural distance between the glass and the motif and gives the framing an elegant sense of depth without casting shadows on the image.

How to choose the right dimensions

Exterior dimensions
The exterior dimensions must correspond to the size of the frame. These dimensions are identical to the size of the glass in the frame and therefore determine the overall format of the passepartout.

Cutout
To achieve a stable and precise result, the cutout should be 1 cm smaller than the actual size of the motif in both width and height. This creates an overlap of approximately 5 mm all the way around, which keeps the motif securely in place. For example, if the poster measures 53×67 cm, a cutout of 52×66 cm is recommended.

Cutout position

As standard, the cutout is centered, which provides a harmonious and classic framing. If you prefer a wider bottom margin, you can choose a top-positioned cutout where the distance to the top and sides is the same.

The passepartout can also be delivered without a cutout if the board is intended to function simply as a background behind the motif.

Companies and public institutions can contact us via chat, email or telephone if payment via invoice or EAN is required.

Payment is processed securely through Shopify Payments and is only charged once the order has been shipped. You will receive an order confirmation by email, and the invoice will also be available in your PlakatKunst account.

Shipping & returns

All passepartouts are cut to order in our Danish workshop. Most orders are shipped within a few business days — often the next business day. During busy periods, processing time may be slightly longer.

Shipping is usually handled by GLS, which typically delivers the day after dispatch and also offers delivery to parcel shops on Saturdays.

Return
There is a 100-day return policy on standard products. Custom-made products, including passepartouts produced to specific measurements, cannot be returned.

If your passepartout arrives damaged, simply send photos to info@plakatkunst.dk and we will immediately send you a replacement.
