This sample of our White Passepartout with Black Core measures 15×15 cm with a 3.5 cm wide corner, making it easy to compare it with your artwork, frame and interior. The surface is a crisp, cool white that appears brighter than our classic White Passepartout. Because the board has a black core beneath the white surface, the colour gains a subtle grey depth that creates a distinctive and sophisticated appearance.
Our passepartouts (also known as mats or mounts) are made from 1.5 mm acid-free premium board to help protect artwork from discolouration and ageing. A passepartout also creates a natural gap between the glazing and the artwork, adds depth to the framing and naturally draws attention to the artwork. Your artwork can be positioned either beneath or on top of the passepartout, depending on the presentation you prefer. Every passepartout is precision cut to your exact dimensions.
The window opening is cut with a precise 45° bevel that reveals the black core as a striking border around your artwork. The bevel also creates a natural gap between the glazing and the artwork, enhancing the depth and elegance of the finished framing.
