About the frame
This framebox in matte white wood is created for a bright, light and balanced expression, where the motif is experienced as open and effortless. The matte, opaque white lacquer gives the frame a soft and uniform surface without visible wood structure, creating a calm visual foundation for both colorful and more subdued works.
The white expression makes the framebox particularly suitable for bright rooms, Nordic interiors and art where lightness and clarity are in focus. The frame supports the motif without dominating and allows colors, shapes and details to stand out clearly.
The framebox – also known as a frame with depth or an aquarium-style frame – is constructed with a clear 14 mm distance between glass and motif. This structure gives the work air and depth and creates an elegant, almost floating effect. The motif can be mounted using double-sided tape or spacer blocks.
The framebox is manufactured in our Danish workshop with great precision. The 20 mm wide front profile combined with a total depth of 30 mm gives a harmonious and timeless expression. The front overlaps the glass by 5 mm and ensures precise and stable installation.
The integrated 14 mm spacers keep the motif clear of the glass and contribute to the distinct spatial character of the frame.
The dimensions of the framebox are always specified based on the size of the glass and back plate and correspond exactly to the motif you want framed.
If you need special dimensions, the framebox can also be ordered in special dimensions, manufactured precisely to your requirements.
Glass
The choice of glass has a significant impact on both the visual expression and the protection of the motif. For frameboxes we recommend real glass only. We also sell acrylic glass, but we do not recommend it for frameboxes due to optical and structural considerations.
Regular glass
Provides a clear and classic reproduction with visible reflections.
Non-reflective glass
Significantly reduces glare and creates a calmer, more uniform appearance. The surface is slightly matte.
Museum glass
An almost invisible glass with exceptional clarity, minimal reflection and very high color accuracy. Museum glass also provides at least 70% UV protection.
Passepartout / Mat / Mount
The framebox comes standard with white, acid-free insert paper as a background. If you want a more graphic or uniform surface behind the motif, we recommend choosing a passepartout without a cutout.
If you use a passepartout with a cutout, the framebox must be larger than the motif itself. For example, a 30×40 cm poster with a passepartout width of approximately 5 cm fits in a 40×50 cm frame.
If you need more than one passepartout for the same framebox, you can purchase an extra passepartout here.
Cutout
Choose a cutout that is 1 cm smaller than the motif’s dimensions in both height and width.
Cutout position
Choose between a centered cutout, a top-positioned cutout (same distance to top and sides), or a passepartout without cutout.
The outer dimensions always follow the dimensions of the framebox.
All passepartouts are made of 1.5 mm acid-free quality cardboard.

Return
You have a 100-day right of return. If you wish to return an item, you can use the enclosed return label. The return shipping will be deducted from the refund. If you receive a framebox with transport damage, we will of course replace it free of charge.
