Orient Line to Australia, Italy, Egypt & Ceylon

Beautiful and very rare ship poster from the early 1930s by Orient Line, which with this lithographic poster promoted voyages to Australia, Italy, Egypt and Sri Lanka (Ceylon).

Orient Line - also known as The Orient Steam Navigation Company - was a British shipping company with roots dating back to 1797. From the beginning of the 20th century, a merger started with P&O, which became a 51% shareholder in 1919 and which completely took over Orient Line in 1966.

The poster has only a single fold under the picture and a lot of patina. Almost perfect condition. You will not find this poster for sale elsewhere on the internet, and the few times it has been seen on the market, the condition has been very poor. It's more than unlikely that this poster will ever reappear in this perfect condition.
