Our passepartouts (also known as mats or mounts) are made from 1.5 mm acid-free premium board to help protect artwork from discolouration and ageing. A passepartout also adds depth to the framing, and your artwork can be positioned either beneath or on top of the passepartout, depending on the look you want to achieve. Every passepartout is precision cut to your exact dimensions.
The window opening is cut with a precise 45° bevel that reveals the white core as a clean border around your artwork while adding depth and an elegant finished appearance.
