About the frame
24×24 cm (9.45 x 9.45 in) sits midway between the small and the large squares and suits square photos, art prints and small graphic posters. The smoked oak frame has a deep, dark brown shade with natural variations in the grain that add character without looking busy. The 20 mm wide front creates a striking border, and the unbroken veneer makes the profile look all of a piece. You can choose a 20 mm depth for a discreet look or a 30 mm depth, where the frame appears more architectural. The front overlaps the glass and backing board by 5 mm. The frame comes with a stand, so it can sit on a shelf, a chest of drawers or a desk. Thanks to the hanger on the back, the frame can also be hung horizontally or vertically despite the stand – and if you would rather do without the stand, it can be snapped off without much effort.
Glass
- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is light and shatterproof – a safe choice if the frame will stand where it could be knocked over, or hang in a child's room. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image and is an obvious, affordable choice for a small format like 24×24 cm, if you don't mind light reflections in the glass.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.
