About the frame
This dark wooden frame is finished with premium smoked oak veneer that wraps seamlessly around the entire frame profile. This creates an elegant, harmonious appearance, highlighting the natural wood texture and deep tones from every angle.
The smoked oak 20×20 mm profile has a more understated, refined tone than the deeper 20×30 mm profile in the same finish. Its darker, less warm shade gives the frame a modern, exclusive character. Natural variations in the grain add authenticity and character without appearing busy.
The profile has a 20 mm wide front and an external depth of 20 mm. This combination gives the frame a balanced, elegant appearance that complements modern art, photography and original vintage posters alike. The front overlaps the glass and backing board by 5 mm, keeping the artwork securely in the frame.
Each frame is made to order in our Danish workshop and is available in all our standard sizes. The stated dimensions always refer to the size of the glass and backing board – in other words, the exact size your artwork needs to be to fit perfectly inside the frame.
The back of the frame is fitted with versatile hanging brackets for both portrait and landscape orientation. This makes it easy to adapt the framing to your artwork and the layout of your room.
Glass
Your choice of glass has a significant impact on the appearance of your artwork and the overall impression of the framing. We therefore offer four glazing types, each with its own visual and practical properties:
Acrylic glass (Plexiglas)
A lightweight, shatter-resistant alternative to real glass. Particularly suitable for large formats and anywhere low weight is an advantage. Once the protective film is removed, the acrylic is clear, with reflections similar to standard glass.
Standard glass
Classic clear glass with excellent transparency and natural colour reproduction. Its reflections give the framing a lively, traditional appearance.
Non-reflective glass
Glass with a matt surface that significantly reduces distracting glare. Particularly suitable for bright rooms or positions near windows where reflections need to be minimised.
Museum glass
Our most exclusive glazing option. Almost invisible, it reduces reflections to a minimum while protecting your artwork with at least 70% UV filtration. Ideal for original artworks and particularly valuable posters.
