About the frame
10×13 cm (3.94 x 5.12 in) is a small, slightly elongated size that suits old photos from the album, small drawings and travel keepsakes. In the wide silver frame, the motif gets a bold yet stylish edge: the front is 20 mm wide and the profile 30 mm deep, so the frame looks sturdy and well defined. The muted silver finish has a dark metallic tone that particularly suits black-and-white pictures and older photographs. The front overlaps the glass and backing board by 5 mm all the way round. The solid ayous wood core keeps the frame light and dimensionally stable. The frame comes with a stand, so it can sit on a shelf, a chest of drawers or a desk. Thanks to the hanger on the back, the frame can also be hung horizontally or vertically despite the stand – and if you would rather do without the stand, it can be snapped off without much effort.
Glass
- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is light and shatterproof – a safe choice if the frame will stand where it could be knocked over, or hang in a child's room. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image and is an obvious, affordable choice for a small format like 10×13 cm, if you don't mind light reflections in the glass.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.
