About the frame
61×91.5 cm (24.02 x 36.02 in) is the classic American size for film, music and travel posters. A poster from an old film or a concert gets a discreet vintage touch in the silver-coloured wooden frame, where the fine crackle and muted patina recall the era of the silver screen. The frame keeps a cool, clean look that works in the living room as well as the home office. The moulding is 15 mm wide and 16 mm deep, the front covers 5 mm, and there are hangers for both vertical and horizontal placement.
Glass
- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is especially recommended for a large format like 61×91.5 cm, as it weighs much less than glass and cannot shatter. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image, but makes the frame heavier in this format, so make sure you use a sturdy hanging fixture.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.
