About the frame
Golden premium aluminum frame for posters and pictures in A1 format (59,4 x 84,1 cm). The front, just 6 mm wide, has an elegant, slightly curved shape that gives the large frame a slender and refined look. The 20 mm deep sides are finely grooved and add structure and character to the aluminum profile, while the golden finish gives a warm and exclusive framing.
If you want to use the A1 frame for smaller artwork, you can add a passepartout and decide the cutout size yourself.
Framing and hanging
Two movable brackets on the back are used together with the included cord for hanging. The position of the brackets can be adjusted, so the premium frame can be hung both vertically and horizontally.
How to get your poster in place:
- Loosen the screws at all four corners of the frame.
- Remove the two hanging brackets from one of the short frame bars, and take out the clamps for the backing board.
- Detach the short frame bar completely.
- Pull the acrylic glass and backing board out together through the open side.
- Lay the poster between the acrylic glass and the backing board.
- Slide the acrylic glass, poster and backing board back into the aluminum frame together.
- Put the short frame bar back on and tighten the corner screws almost all the way.
- Refit the clamps so that the backing board lies tightly against the acrylic glass.
- Finish by tightening the corner screws completely.
Glass
For this large aluminum frame, we recommend acrylic glass (plexiglass). It is both lightweight and shatterproof and therefore particularly well suited to the combination of aluminum and A1 format. The acrylic glass comes with protective film on both sides, which must be removed before framing. After that, it appears clear and gives a beautiful rendering of your artwork.
If you want real glass for your A1 frame, you can instead choose one of our A1 wooden frames, for example the gold-colored A1 wooden frame, which can be combined with standard glass, non-reflective glass or museum glass.
