About the frame
Premium aluminum frame in matte silver for A1 posters (59,4 x 84,1 cm). The slim, slightly curved front of only 6 mm gives an elegant and minimalist look, while the 20 mm deep, grooved sides add character and an exclusive finish to the profile.
If you want to frame a smaller artwork in the A1 frame, you can add a passepartout, which creates space around the artwork and adapts the framing to the desired picture size.
Framing and hanging
The frame has two movable fittings on the back and comes with a cord for hanging. The fittings can be positioned as needed, so the A1 frame can be hung both vertically and horizontally.
How to frame your artwork:
- Loosen the screws in all four corners of the aluminum frame.
- Remove the two hanging fittings from one of the short frame rails and take out the tension clips on the back.
- Detach the short frame rail completely.
- Pull the glass and backing board out together through the open side.
- Place the poster between the glass and the backing board.
- Slide the glass, poster and backing board back into the frame.
- Put the frame rail back on and tighten the corner screws almost fully.
- Refit the tension clips so the backing board is held tightly against the glass.
- Finally, tighten all the corner screws fully.
Glass
For most of our frames, we offer four types of glass, including three variants of real glass. For aluminum frames larger than 50 x 70 cm, however, we offer acrylic glass exclusively, as the combination of a large aluminum frame and real glass involves a greater risk of damage, especially during shipping.
The acrylic glass, on the other hand, is lightweight, clear and shatterproof. Once the protective film has been removed from both sides, it looks clear and gives a beautiful rendering of the artwork.
If you want real glass for a frame in A1 format, you can instead choose one of our A1 wooden frames, for example our A1 silver wooden frame.

Ordered a frame and it was shipped the next business day and I received it the day after. The frame is beautiful and was well packaged.
I love our beautiful frames from poster art and I had a fantastic experience with customer service. You can blindly trust them to deliver quality both aesthetically and ethically. Thank you very much ❤️ I will be buying all my frames from here.
Extremely good and proactive service, even though the error started with me, it was fixed quickly! And the frame is also super nice.
Bought 2 pieces of 100x140 frames and received very quick and knowledgeable guidance in choosing the type of wood based on pictures sent of where they should hang. They were delivered just a few days later and were very securely packaged. We are SO satisfied and this is not the last time we order from here 😄
Great service. Nice wooden frame with passepartout. Had also ordered a passepartout for another frame. However, I had misunderstood the instructions for measuring so it didn't fit. Posterkunst immediately offered to send a new one with the correct measurements. Very nice customer service.
