About the frame

Matte black premium aluminum frame for A1 posters (59,4 x 84,1 cm). The slightly curved front is just 6 mm wide and gives even this large format elegant and minimalist framing. The 20 mm deep sides have a distinctive grooved texture, which adds more depth to the profile and emphasizes the exclusive quality of the frame.

The frame fits the A1 format precisely, but can also be used for smaller pictures with a passepartout if you want more space around the artwork.

Framing and hanging

The premium frame has two movable brackets on the back, which are used together with the included cord. The brackets can be positioned as needed, so the A1 frame can be hung both vertically and horizontally.

How to mount the poster:

1. Loosen the screws in the four corners of the frame.
2. Remove the two hanging brackets from one of the short frame rails as well as the clamping pieces that secure the backing board.
3. Take the short frame rail off completely.
4. Slide the acrylic glass and backing board out together through the open side.
5. Place the poster between the acrylic glass and the backing board.
6. Guide the acrylic glass, poster and backing board back into the frame.
7. Refit the short frame rail and tighten the corner screws almost all the way.
8. Put the clamping pieces back so the backing board is held tightly against the acrylic glass.
9. Finally, tighten the corner screws completely.

Glass

For this large aluminum frame we recommend acrylic glass (plexiglass). It weighs considerably less than real glass and is also shatterproof, which makes it particularly well suited to large formats and aluminum frames. The acrylic glass is delivered with protective film on both sides, which must be removed before use. After that, the glass appears clear and gives a beautiful rendering of the artwork.

We do not offer real glass for our A1 aluminum frames, as the combination of metal, large format and real glass increases the risk of damage during handling and transport. If you want standard glass, non-reflective glass or museum glass for your A1 frame, you can instead choose one of our A1 wooden frames, for example the black A1 wooden frame.
