About the poster

Original vintage travel poster for Holland from the 1950s, designed by Cor V. Velsen and printed as a lithograph. The motif is one of the most iconic Dutch tourist motifs from the period, where the traditional wooden shoe opens like a window to the flat Dutch landscape with colorful fields and a classic windmill on the horizon.

The poster's surreal composition combines warm golden hues with strong geometric color fields and elegant typography, giving the work a distinctive modernist expression. It is a poster that functions both as historical travel art and as a decorative design object with great visual strength.
