Original vintage travel poster from South Africa by British painter and illustrator Frank Wootton (1911-1998). A beautiful lithograph showing people in traditional clothing playing drums and dancing while a plane flies overhead.
British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) in association with Qantas Empire Airways Limited, South African Airways (SAA), Tasman Empire Airways Limited.
BOAC was a British state airline created in 1940–1946 as a result of a merger that introduced the world's first passenger jet to its service in 1952 and merged again in 1971–1974 to create British Airways.
Condition
9/10 - Patina and some edge cracks, but a poster in almost perfect condition. Incredibly beautiful colors with impressive lithographic craftsmanship.
