Original vintage travel poster from South Africa by British painter and illustrator Frank Wootton (1911-1998). A beautiful lithograph showing people in traditional clothing playing drums and dancing while a plane flies overhead.

British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC) in association with Qantas Empire Airways Limited, South African Airways (SAA), Tasman Empire Airways Limited.

BOAC was a British state airline created in 1940–1946 as a result of a merger that introduced the world's first passenger jet to its service in 1952 and merged again in 1971–1974 to create British Airways.

9/10 - Patina and some edge cracks, but a poster in almost perfect condition. Incredibly beautiful colors with impressive lithographic craftsmanship.

Frame is not included. We recommend that you buy a custom-made frame with the dimensions 63.5x101.5 cm and museum glass. It will give you the perfect frame for the poster which also preserves this unique poster and its value.
