About the frame

This narrow frame in deep glossy green brings a calm, nature-inspired atmosphere into your home. The 13 mm slim profile has rounded edges for a soft and elegant expression, while the high-gloss surface reflects light with a refined and exclusive sheen. The dark green tone creates a harmonious contrast for both bright and colourful motifs — adding a sense of warm, understated sophistication.

The frame is made from solid ayous wood, a lightweight yet stable material known for its durability. The construction makes it suitable for both small prints and larger posters. On the back you will find metal brackets for vertical or horizontal hanging, and flexible metal clips that allow you to change the contents easily. The front profile overlaps the glass and backing by 5 mm to hold everything securely in place with minimal coverage of the motif.

The frame is available in 32 standard sizes from 10×10 cm to 50×70 cm. We can theoretically produce larger sizes, but due to the very slim profile we cannot guarantee durability or transport safety beyond 50×70 cm.

Glass

The glass plays a crucial role in both appearance and long-term protection.

Acrylic glass (plexiglass)
Lightweight, shatterproof and as clear as normal glass once the protective film is removed from both sides.

Passepartout / Mat / Mount

If you want to use a passepartout, the frame must always be larger than the poster itself. For example, a 40×40 cm poster with an approx. 5 cm mount requires a 50×50 cm frame.

We offer passepartouts in several colours, although in sizes over 70×100 cm they can only be produced in white.

Cutout

Measure your poster precisely and choose a cutout that is 1 cm smaller in both height and width. A poster measuring 66×88 cm should therefore use a 65×87 cm cutout. This provides approx. 5 mm overlap all around for secure mounting.

Outer dimensions

The outer dimensions of the passepartout always match the glass size of the frame. Note that the glass, passepartout and backing typically sit approx. 5 mm behind the front profile.

Cutout position

You can choose between three placement options:

Centered cutout (standard): Identical distance to top and bottom.

Top-positioned cutout: Same distance to top and sides, giving a wider bottom border.

Passepartout without cutout: The poster is placed on top of the cardboard — ideal if you want the full edge, signature or print marks visible.

All passepartouts are made from 1.5 mm acid-free, high-quality cardboard.

Companies and public institutions requiring invoices or EAN billing can contact us via email, chat or phone.

Payment is securely handled via Shopify Payments. The amount is only charged once your order has been shipped. Your order confirmation will be emailed to you, and the invoice can be found in your PlakatKunst account under the order.

Shipping & returns

All frames are produced to order in Denmark. We usually ship within a few business days, although production times may be slightly longer during busy periods.

Returns

You have a 100-day return policy.

If you wish to return an item, simply write to info@plakatkunst.dk. A return label is included in the package, and the return shipping cost will be deducted from the refund.

If your frame arrives damaged, we will replace it free of charge.
