About the frame
Elegant premium aluminum frame in gold for square pictures and posters in 40 x 40 cm. The slightly curved front is only 6 mm wide and gives the artwork a refined framing with the least possible visual disturbance. The 20 mm deep sides of the frame have a beautiful grooved texture, which creates a fine contrast to the slender front and highlights the quality of the aluminum profile.
If you want to frame a smaller artwork, the frame can be combined with a passepartout. You can enter the exact cutout size yourself or choose a passepartout without a cutout and place the picture on top.
Framing and hanging
Two movable hangers on the back make it possible to adjust the hanging as needed. The premium frame is delivered with a cord, which is used between the hangers when the frame is to be hung.
How to mount the picture:
- Begin by loosening the screws in the four corners of the frame.
- Take the two hangers off one of the frame moldings, and remove the clamping pieces that hold the backing board in place.
- Remove the frame molding in question completely.
- Guide the glass and backing board together out of the aluminum profile.
- Place the picture between the glass and the backing board.
- Slide the entire unit back into place in the frame.
- Mount the frame molding again, and tighten the corners almost all the way.
- Put the clamping pieces back, so the backing board fits tightly against the glass.
- Finally, tighten all the corner screws completely.
Glass
The gold frame can be combined with acrylic glass (plexiglass) or one of our three types of real glass. Acrylic glass is light and shatterproof, while standard glass gives a classic, completely clear framing. Non-reflective glass has a matte surface that reduces bothersome glare.
Museum glass is our most exclusive glass type and gives a very clear rendering of the artwork, low reflection and the best UV protection among our glass types. It is therefore an obvious choice for art and posters that you want to protect as well as possible.

Ordered a frame and it was shipped the next business day and I received it the day after. The frame is beautiful and was well packaged.
I love our beautiful frames from poster art and I had a fantastic experience with customer service. You can blindly trust them to deliver quality both aesthetically and ethically. Thank you very much ❤️ I will be buying all my frames from here.
Extremely good and proactive service, even though the error started with me, it was fixed quickly! And the frame is also super nice.
Bought 2 pieces of 100x140 frames and received very quick and knowledgeable guidance in choosing the type of wood based on pictures sent of where they should hang. They were delivered just a few days later and were very securely packaged. We are SO satisfied and this is not the last time we order from here 😄
Great service. Nice wooden frame with passepartout. Had also ordered a passepartout for another frame. However, I had misunderstood the instructions for measuring so it didn't fit. Posterkunst immediately offered to send a new one with the correct measurements. Very nice customer service.
