About the frame
This premium aluminum frame in gold combines an ultra-slim profile with an elegant and exclusive look. The slightly curved front measures only 6 mm in width, while the 20 mm deep sides have a characteristic grooved structure that gives the frame a refined detail from the side. The golden finish adds warmth to the framing without taking attention away from your artwork.
The frame is made for A3 posters (29,7 x 42 cm), but can also be used for smaller pictures with a passepartout. You decide the cutout size of the passepartout yourself, or you can choose it without a cutout if your artwork is instead to be placed on top of the passepartout.
Framing and hanging
The premium frame has two movable brackets on the back, which are used together with the included cord. The position can be adjusted, so the A3 frame can be hung both upright and lying down.
How to frame your artwork:
- First, loosen the screws at all four corners of the frame.
- Remove the two hanging brackets from one of the short sides, as well as the clamps that hold the backing board.
- Take the short aluminum profile off completely.
- Slide the glass and backing board out of the frame together.
- Place your artwork between the glass and the backing board.
- Then guide the glass, artwork and backing board back into the frame as one unit.
- Refit the short profile and tighten the corner screws almost all the way.
- Put the clamps back in place so that the backing board is held tightly against the glass.
- Finally, tighten all corners completely.
Glass
For the A3 frame, you can choose between acrylic glass (plexiglass) and three types of real glass. Acrylic glass is the lightweight and shatterproof solution and appears clear once the protective film has been removed from both sides. The surface is more sensitive to scratches than real glass and should therefore be cleaned carefully without strong cleaning agents.
If you prefer real glass, you can choose standard glass, non-reflective glass or museum glass. Museum glass is the most exclusive solution with very low reflection, high clarity and UV protection, which helps preserve the colors of your artwork.
