About the frame
Golden premium aluminum frame for posters and pictures in 50 x 70 cm. The front, only 6 mm wide, has a slightly curved shape that gives the frame a slender and elegant look around your artwork. The 20 mm deep sides are made with fine grooves that add structure to the aluminum profile and underline the exclusive quality. At the same time, the golden finish gives the framing a warm and refined touch.
The frame fits artwork in 50 x 70 cm, but can easily be adapted to smaller pictures with a passepartout. You decide the exact cutout size yourself, or you can choose a passepartout without a cutout and place your artwork on top.
Framing and hanging
The premium frame has two movable brackets on the back and comes with a cord for hanging. The brackets can be positioned as needed, so the frame can be hung both vertically and horizontally.
How to put your artwork in the frame:
- Loosen the screws in all four corners of the frame.
- Remove the two hanging brackets from one of the short frame bars, as well as the clamps that hold the backing board.
- Take the short frame bar off completely.
- Slide the glass and backing board out together through the open side.
- Place your artwork between the glass and the backing board.
- Guide the glass, artwork and backing board back into the aluminum frame together.
- Refit the short frame bar and tighten the corner screws almost all the way.
- Put the clamps back so that the backing board is held tightly against the glass.
- Finally, tighten the corner screws completely.
Glass
For this 50 x 70 cm aluminum frame, you can choose between four types of glass: acrylic glass (plexiglass), standard glass, non-reflective glass and museum glass. It is also the largest format among our aluminum frames that we offer with real glass.
Acrylic glass is lightweight and shatterproof, while standard glass gives a classic and completely clear framing. Non-reflective glass reduces bothersome glare with its matte surface. For posters and artworks that you want to protect as well as possible, we recommend museum glass, which combines very high clarity and low reflection with at least 70 % UV protection.
