Glass
When you buy a frame at PlakatKunst, you must choose glass. Normal glass or acrylic glass (plexiglass) is most popular as it is the cheapest, but there are other advantages to non-reflective glass and the exclusive museum glass. Museum glass provides optimum protection against UV rays, and thus retains the colours of the poster much better than other types of glass, which also have about 40% UV protection.
Mount
A mount is a cardboard frame, inside the picture frame itself, which brings the poster into focus without casting shadows on the poster from the frame or mount. This is also called a Mat or Passepartout. You can purchase a mount for this dark purple 30x30 wooden frame, which fits 20x20 cm posters. If you would like a different cut, please contact us.
If you want to frame a 30x30 cm poster with mount, you need to buy a frame that is
70x70 cm,
60x60 cm, 50x50 cm or
40x40 cm. All these square frames can be purchased with a mount that fits 30x30 posters.
