About the frame
13×17 cm (5.12 x 6.69 in) is a less common size, and that is exactly why it can be hard to find a frame that fits properly. This light oak frame is made to measure, so the glass and backing board are 13×17 cm, while the front overlaps by 5 mm. The 15×15 mm profile gives a narrow, elegant edge, and the light wood tone with its natural play of grain creates a calm, friendly look. The frame fits well into a Scandinavian home, but also looks good among more colourful things on a shelf. The frame comes with a stand, so it can sit on a shelf, a chest of drawers or a desk. Thanks to the hanger on the back, the frame can also be hung horizontally or vertically despite the stand – and if you would rather do without the stand, it can be snapped off without much effort.
Glass
- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is light and shatterproof – a safe choice if the frame will stand where it could be knocked over, or hang in a child's room. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image and is an obvious, affordable choice for a small format like 13×17 cm, if you don't mind light reflections in the glass.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.
