About the frame

This light blue matte frame brings a fresh and airy touch to any wall. The colour is reminiscent of summer skies and clear water — cool, calm and friendly — making both black-and-white motifs and colourful posters stand out beautifully. The matte surface ensures a soft, subdued expression, while the narrow 15 mm profile gives the frame a modern, minimalist feel. The 5 mm front overlap secures the poster without drawing unnecessary attention to the frame.

The frame is handmade from solid ayous wood — a stable and lightweight material that combines strength with an elegant finish. It is suitable for both small images and large posters. On the back you’ll find metal brackets for vertical and horizontal hanging, and the flexible metal clips allow you to change the motif repeatedly without weakening the frame.

Glass

Acrylic glass (plexiglass) — lightweight, shatterproof and crystal clear once the protective film is removed.

Normal glass — classic clarity with natural colour reproduction.

Non-reflective glass — reduces glare thanks to its slightly matte surface; ideal in bright rooms.

Museum glass — almost invisible, extremely clear and with strong UV protection to preserve colours for many years.

Passepartout / Mat / Mount

If you want to use a mount, the frame must always be chosen in a larger format than the poster itself. Example: A 40×40 cm poster with an approx. 5 cm mount requires a 50×50 cm frame.

We produce passepartouts in several colours, but for formats larger than 70×100 cm they can only be made in white.

Cutout

Measure your poster carefully and choose a cutout that is 1 cm smaller in both height and width. For example, a 66×88 cm poster should use a 65×87 cm cutout. This ensures an overlap of approx. 5 mm on all sides and keeps the poster stable.

Outer dimensions

The outer dimensions of the passepartout always match the glass size of the chosen frame. Please note that the glass, passepartout and backing plate sit approx. 5 mm behind the front edge of the frame.

Cutout position

You can choose between three options:

Centered cutout (standard): Equal distance to top and bottom ensures a balanced expression.

Top-positioned cutout: Equal distance to top and sides, resulting in a wider lower pasepartout edge.

Passespatout without cutout: The poster is mounted directly on top of the cardboard — ideal when the full edge, signature or printing marks must remain visible.

All passepartouts are produced from 1.5 mm acid-free, high-quality cardboard.

Return

You always have a 100-day return policy.

If you wish to return an item, simply contact us at info@plakatkunst.dk. A return label is included in the package, and the return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

If the frame is damaged upon receipt, we will of course send a replacement at no extra cost.
