About the frame

This matte pink frame adds a subtle charm and warmth to any room. The colour sits somewhere between powder and pastel purple — soft, but with a clarity that brings modern art prints, photographs and vintage motifs to life. The matte surface creates an elegant, calm expression, while the slim 15 mm profile keeps the overall look light and focused on the motif. The 5 mm front overlap ensures the poster sits securely in place.

The frame is made of solid ayous wood, a strong yet lightweight material that makes it both stable and easy to handle. The back features metal brackets for vertical or horizontal hanging, and the flexible metal clips allow you to change the contents repeatedly without loosening the frame.

Glass

The choice of glass has a significant effect on both the appearance and the long-term protection of your artwork:

Acrylic glass (plexiglass) — lightweight, shatterproof and similar in clarity to real glass once the protective film is removed, but with visible reflections.

Normal glass — classic, natural clarity with reflections that add depth and vibrancy to the motif.

Non-reflective glass — reduces glare effectively thanks to its slightly matte surface, ideal in bright rooms or where multiple light sources are present.

Museum glass — the most exclusive option, almost invisible with exceptional clarity and strong UV protection to preserve colours over time.

Passepartout / Mat / Mount

If you want to use a mount, the frame must always be larger than the poster itself. Example: A 40×40 cm poster with an approx. 5 cm mount requires a 50×50 cm frame.

We offer passepartouts in several colours, but for formats larger than 70×100 cm they can only be produced in white.

Cutout

Measure your poster carefully and choose a cutout that is 1 cm smaller in both height and width. For example, a poster measuring 66×88 cm requires a cutout of 65×87 cm. This provides approx. 5 mm overlap on all sides, ensuring stability and easy mounting.

Outer dimensions

The outer dimensions of the mount match the glass size of the selected frame. Please note that the mount, glass and backing plate sit approx. 5 mm behind the front profile of the frame.

Cutout position

You can choose between three options:

Centered cutout (standard): Symmetrical placement with equal distance to top and bottom.

Top-positioned cutout: Equal distance to top and sides, giving a wider mount edge at the bottom.

Mount without cutout: The poster is placed directly on top of the cardboard — ideal when you want the full poster edge, signature or printing marks to remain visible.

All mounts are cut from 1.5 mm acid-free, high-quality cardboard.

Payment is securely processed through Shopify Payments, and the amount is only charged once the order has been shipped. You will receive an order confirmation by email, and the invoice is available in your PlakatKunst account under the order.

Return

You always have a 100-day return policy.

If you wish to return an item, simply write to info@plakatkunst.dk. A return label is included in the package, and the return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

If your frame arrives damaged, we will naturally send a replacement at no extra cost.
