Matte pink wooden picture frame - Narrow (15mm)

About the frame

This matte pink frame adds a subtle charm and warmth to any room. The color lies between powder and pastel lilac – soft, but with a clarity that brings life to modern art prints, photographs, and vintage artwork alike. The matte surface gives an elegant and calm look, while the slim 15 mm profile creates a lightness that highlights the artwork rather than the frame itself. The front overlaps the glass by 5 mm, so everything is held securely in place.

The frame is made of solid ayous wood, a strong and light material that makes it both stable and easy to handle. The back has metal fittings, so it can be hung both vertically and horizontally, and the flexible metal clips make it possible to change the contents many times without the frame losing its grip.

The frame can be ordered in many standard sizes above, but can also be ordered in custom sizes right here.

Glass

Glass – from classic to almost invisible

The choice of glass affects both the look and the protection:

Acrylic glass (plexiglass) – light, shatterproof, and with reflections similar to those of standard glass.

Standard glass – classic and clear, with visible reflections that give a natural play in the artwork.

Non-reflective glass – reduces glare significantly with a slightly matte surface, ideal in rooms with strong light.

Museum glass – the ultimate choice. Almost invisible, completely non-reflective, and with 70% UV protection, so your picture stays sharp and colorful for many years.

Passepartout

With a passepartout around the artwork, the format of the frame must be larger than the picture itself. If, for example, you have a poster of 50×50 cm and want a border of about 5 cm, you should choose the frame in 60×60 cm.

We offer passepartouts in several color tones. In formats above 81×110 cm, however, it is only possible to order them in white and off-white.

Cutout size

Measure your artwork accurately and subtract 1 cm from both the width and the height – that is your cutout size. A poster of 40×40 cm should therefore have a cutout size of 39×39 cm. The passepartout then overlaps the artwork by approx. 5 mm all the way around and holds it securely in place. If you would rather have a reveal edge, where a little of the paper is visible, you can choose that in our Frame Designer.

Outer dimensions

The outer dimensions of the passepartout are always identical to the dimensions of the glass in the frame. Note that the glass, backing board, and passepartout extend approx. 5 mm in under the front edge of the frame.

Number of cutouts

You can freely choose between 0-5 cutouts in your passepartout. If you would like more, you are welcome to contact us. Zero cutouts are typically used if a work of art is to be placed on top of the board — perfect if you want to highlight the entire edge of the picture, the signature, or the print marks.

Position of the cutout

The cutout can be positioned in three ways:

Centered cutout (standard): The artwork is placed in the middle of the passepartout with an equally wide border at the top and bottom.

Top-positioned cutout: The same distance to the top and sides, leaving a little extra space at the bottom.

Free choice: Choose the position of the cutout yourself by entering the distance from the top and the left edge. With our preview, you can see at all times what the passepartout will look like.

All passepartouts are made of 1,5 mm acid-free board of professional quality.
