Solid oak frame - Narrow (13 mm)

About the frame
This oak frame is made from 100% solid, untreated oak and produced from start to finish in our Danish framing workshop. Each frame is assembled by hand and features natural variations in grain and colour – exactly as genuine wood naturally does and should.
The profile combines a slim 13 mm front with an outer depth of 22 mm, creating a light and elegant appearance without compromising on stability. This profile is perfect for medium-sized formats. The front overlaps the glass and backing board by approx. 5 mm, keeping the artwork securely and precisely positioned in the frame.
The stated frame dimensions always correspond to the dimensions of the glass and backing board – and therefore also to the poster or art print you wish to frame.
Fittings on the back allow the frame to be hung horizontally or vertically. Standard sizes smaller than 24×30 cm also include a stand, allowing the frame to stand freely.
Glass
The choice of glass has a significant impact on both the appearance of your artwork and its long-term preservation. It affects colours, reflections and protection from light. You can choose between the following four types of glass:
Acrylic glass (plexiglass)
A lightweight and shatterproof alternative that is easy to handle and particularly suitable for large frames or homes with children. The surface has the same natural reflections as Standard glass, but without the risk of broken glass or sharp fragments.
Standard glass
The classic choice with clear transparency and accurate colour reproduction. Reflections are visible, giving the framing a clean, traditional appearance.
Non-reflective glass
A subtle matte surface significantly reduces glare and makes the artwork more comfortable to view – particularly in rooms with plenty of daylight or spot lighting.
Museum glass
Our most exclusive type of glass. Almost invisible, with excellent colour accuracy, minimal reflections and approx. 70% UV protection to help protect the artwork against fading. The result is an exceptionally clear view where the artwork almost appears to be displayed without glass.
The choice of glass makes a greater difference than most people realise – both visually and in terms of preservation.

Passepartout
If you would like a passepartout, the frame must always be larger than the artwork itself. For example, a 40×40 cm poster with an approx. 5 cm passepartout requires a 50×50 cm frame.
We offer passepartouts in several colours. For sizes larger than 70×100 cm, however, passepartouts can only be produced in white.
Opening size
We recommend choosing an opening size that is 1 cm smaller than the actual dimensions of the poster. A 42×52 cm poster should therefore have an opening measuring 41×51 cm. This creates an overlap of approx. 5 mm on all sides, ensuring secure mounting.
Outer dimensions
The outer dimensions always correspond to the size of the glass. The glass, passepartout and backing board sit approx. 5 mm underneath the front of the frame.
Position of the opening
You can choose between three options:
Centred opening (standard): Equal spacing at the top and bottom.
Top-positioned opening: Equal spacing at the top and sides, with more space at the bottom.
Without opening: The poster is mounted on top of the board – ideal for signatures or visible edges.
All passepartouts are made from 1.5 mm acid-free, high-quality mount board.
