About the frame
Whether it is a graphic print, a square photo or a small poster, 20×20 cm (7.87 x 7.87 in) looks good both on its own and in a gallery wall. Solid, untreated oak gives the motif an edge of real wood, where texture and grain vary from side to side. It is precisely this variation that makes the frame come alive. The glass and backing board measure 20×20 cm and sit 4 mm behind the narrow 12 mm front, while the 18 mm depth gives the profile a sturdy feel. The frame comes with a stand, so it can sit on a shelf, a chest of drawers or a desk. Thanks to the hanger on the back, the frame can also be hung horizontally or vertically despite the stand – and if you would rather do without the stand, it can be snapped off without much effort.
Glass
- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is light and shatterproof – a safe choice if the frame will stand where it could be knocked over, or hang in a child's room. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image and is an obvious, affordable choice for a small format like 20×20 cm, if you don't mind light reflections in the glass.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.
