About the frame

For your own photographs, 20×30 cm (7.87 x 11.81 in) is an obvious size, because it has a 2:3 ratio – the same as most cameras – and therefore needs no cropping. The frame is made of solid oak that has not been treated, so the colour and texture of the wood stand out. Because the grain varies, each frame has its own look, and we join the mouldings so the whole is harmonious. The narrow 12 mm front and 18 mm deep profile give a sturdy edge, and the glass sits 4 mm in behind the front. The frame comes with a stand, so it can sit on a shelf, a chest of drawers or a desk. Thanks to the hanger on the back, the frame can also be hung horizontally or vertically despite the stand – and if you would rather do without the stand, it can be snapped off without much effort.

Glass

- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is light and shatterproof – a safe choice if the frame will stand where it could be knocked over, or hang in a child's room. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image and is an obvious, affordable choice for a small format like 20×30 cm, if you don't mind light reflections in the glass.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.
