About the frame
In 24×24 cm (9.45 x 9.45 in), a square art print or photo has plenty of room for its details. The solid, untreated oak frame adds a natural, warm edge, and because the wood is neither stained nor lacquered, what you see is the oak's own colour. We join the mouldings with care so the frame looks harmonious, even though no two mouldings are quite the same. The front is 12 mm, the depth is 18 mm, and the hardboard backing has fittings for hanging both horizontally and vertically. The frame comes with a stand, so it can sit on a shelf, a chest of drawers or a desk. Thanks to the hanger on the back, the frame can also be hung horizontally or vertically despite the stand – and if you would rather do without the stand, it can be snapped off without much effort.
Glass
- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is light and shatterproof – a safe choice if the frame will stand where it could be knocked over, or hang in a child's room. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image and is an obvious, affordable choice for a small format like 24×24 cm, if you don't mind light reflections in the glass.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.
