About the frame
Our oak frames are made from 100% solid, untreated oak – a material that is a small piece of nature in itself. Each frame is unique because the oak carries its own history in the form of grains, tonal differences and subtle markings from the tree's growth. You therefore get not just a frame, but an organic and living element that develops a beautiful patina over time and gives your motif a very special warmth and authenticity.
The frames are carefully cut, sanded and assembled by hand in our Danish workshop. The wide 20 mm front profile and solid 30 mm depth give a calm, balanced and exclusive expression—perfect for both modern graphic works and classic art prints. The front overlaps the glass by 5 mm, so the motif lies securely and tightly in the frame.
The dimensions of the frame always correspond to the size of the glass and backing board, which are also the dimensions of the poster itself that you want framed.

Glass
The choice of glass affects both the experience of your subject and its durability – far more than many expect. Color rendering, reflections and resistance to UV rays depend on the type of glass. Here is an overview of the four options:
Acrylic glass (plexiglass)
Robust, lightweight and shatterproof – ideal for homes with children or where the frame may be at risk of impact. Acrylic glass has the same natural reflections as regular glass, but is much more practical and safe to use.
Normal glass
The classic choice with a clear and honest reproduction of colors. It gives a traditional and recognizable expression with visible reflections, which often add a bit of depth to the motif.
Non-reflective glass
With its slightly matte finish, this glass significantly reduces reflections. It makes the subject clear from many angles and is perfect in rooms with strong light, large windows or spotlights.
Museum glass
Our most exclusive type of glass. Museum glass is almost invisible and protects the subject from approximately 70% of UV radiation. It highlights details and colors with impressive clarity and creates an experience where the subject almost floats without glass in front of it.
Choose the type of glass that best suits both the subject and the surroundings – it makes a much bigger difference than you think.

Passepartout / Mat / Mount
If you want to use a passepartout, the frame must always be larger than the poster itself. A poster measuring 40×40 cm with a passepartout width of approx. 5 cm fits in a 50×50 cm frame, for example.
We offer mounts in several colors, but for sizes over 70×100 cm they can only be produced in white.
Cutout
Measure the poster exactly, and then choose a hole size that is 1 cm below the poster's dimensions in both height and width. For example, if your motif is 66×88 cm, the hole size should be 65×87 cm. This gives an overlap of approx. 5 mm, which keeps the motif secure and provides a nice, tight mounting.
Outer dimensions
The external dimensions of the mount always follow the frame's glass size. Glass, mount and backing plate extend approximately 5 mm below the front edge of the frame.
Cutout position
You can choose between the following cuts:
Centered cutout (standard): Equal distance to top and bottom.
Top-positioned cutout: Same distance to top and sides, giving a wider bottom edge.
Passepartout without cutout: The poster is mounted on top of the cardboard so that the entire motif – including the signature or the edge of the print – remains visible.
All passepartouts are made of 1.5 mm acid-free quality cardboard.
