This 12 mm narrow and 18 mm deep wooden frame is made of light brown, stained oak veneer, which gives a calm and more uniform expression than solid oak. The surface has an elegant, natural glow, where the structure of the wood is still visible, but without the major variations seen in untreated wood. This makes the frame perfect for those who want a warm and natural wood color, but at the same time a harmonious and uniform finish on all four sides.
The back plate is made of masonite and mounted with solid brackets, so the frame can be easily hung both vertically and horizontally. In smaller formats - under 18×24 cm - a support foot is included, so the frame can also be used freestanding on a bookshelf, shelf or desk.
The glass and back plate are 4 mm back from the front profile, and it is these measurements that define the size of the frame. So when you choose a frame in, for example, 30×40 cm, it will fit exactly a picture or mat in the same format.
Glass
Glass affects both the appearance and durability of your subject. Whether you want maximum clarity, minimal glare or premium protection, we have a glass type to suit your purpose.
Acrylic glass (plexiglass)
The lightweight and shatterproof solution. Perfect for large formats or places where the frame may be exposed. When the foil is removed, the acrylic glass appears almost as clear as regular glass — with the familiar **reflections** that give the motif a classic light.
Normal glass
The traditional choice with natural sharpness and a clean, recognizable expression. The visible reflections often add extra depth to the subject and work particularly well in environments without direct light.
Non-reflective glass
Ideal for rooms with large windows or bright light sources. The fine matte surface significantly reduces glare, so the motif appears clearly from many more angles. The colors are preserved, but presented in a calmer and more subdued tone.
Museum glass
The absolute most exclusive choice. Museum glass is almost invisible, minimizes reflections and protects your motif from at least 70% UV radiation. Colors and details remain sharp for many years, and the experience is reminiscent of seeing the poster without glass at all — only with optimal protection.
Compare the four glass types and choose the solution that best suits both the motif and the atmosphere you want to create.
