About the frame
In dark oak and 18×18 cm (7.09 x 7.09 in), a square motif gets a warm frame with plenty of space around it – great for a small graphic print, a child's drawing or a photo. The frame has a light brown stained surface where the texture of the oak can be glimpsed in the light. This adds warmth and life, but without the larger variations you find in untreated wood. The narrow 12 mm front and 18 mm depth form a balanced profile, and the hardboard backing is fitted with sturdy hangers. The frame comes with a stand, so it can sit on a shelf, a chest of drawers or a desk. Thanks to the hanger on the back, the frame can also be hung horizontally or vertically despite the stand – and if you would rather do without the stand, it can be snapped off without much effort.
Glass
- Acrylic glass (plexiglass) is light and shatterproof – a safe choice if the frame will stand where it could be knocked over, or hang in a child's room. It is crystal clear, with reflections just like standard glass.
- Standard glass gives a sharp, clear image and is an obvious, affordable choice for a small format like 18×18 cm, if you don't mind light reflections in the glass.
- If you want to reduce reflections and glare, we offer non-reflective glass, made from real glass, which ensures an even, clear view in all lighting conditions. It is slightly matte, though, so if your artwork has strong colours that should look their very best, choose one of the other glass types.
- For the best presentation and extra protection we recommend museum glass, which is anti-reflective, crystal clear and offers 70% UV protection, helping to preserve the colours of your artwork for many years.
Choose options
Create the perfect framing
How should your 18×18 cm image be presented? In our frame designer you can explore the options and find a framing that suits the picture and your personal style. Upload your image to see it in the combinations you try.
An 18×18 cm frame gives a simple framing close around the image. With a larger frame and a passepartout, you can play with the distance between picture and frame. Try different colours and widths, and see what suits your picture best.
Every time you change a choice, the view updates. That way you can follow the difference from one combination to the next until you have found the look you want.
